Penryn’s Grounds

The Penryn Park Mansion commonly know as the “Big House” was built in 1859 by Lieutenant Colonel Arthur Williams for his bride Emily Seymour. It is undeniably impressive, magnificent in its sheer size and abundant detail. The initials of Arthur Williams and his wife Emily Seymour are etched in the original glass at the front door. Penryn Estate has been sold very few times, from the Williams to the King family who built the Billiards house and the pool. The King family also used the Estate as a private golf course and restaurant. The King’s descendants sold the Estate to the Smith family, owners of AON Inc. in 1988. The estate has been admirably preserved for weddings, special events, seminars and tournaments. Today, couples getting married enjoy the romantic atmosphere Arthur and Emily shared in the mansion.
